National Choral School Concerts
Hear Australia’s most talented young musicians in two exciting concerts by Gondwana choirs, including the acclaimed Gondwana Voices fresh from their BBC Proms debut, on Saturday 19 January, Verbrugghen Hall, Sydney Conservatorium of Music.
See why Gondwana choristers are internationally renowned for their dynamic and engaging performances in these concerts featuring fun new Australian music from composers Ian Munro, Luke Robinson and Dan Walker as well as other vibrant works from around the globe!
Now in its 11th year, Gondwana National Choral School brings together approximately 200 of Australia’s most talented young musicians for a two week intensive season of rehearsals, workshops and performances. The choristers form into three choirs, Gondwana Chorale, Gondwana Voices and Junior Gondwana and work under the direction of Australia’s finest choral conductors and music educators including Artistic Director Lyn Williams OAM, Mark O’Leary, Paul Holley, Michelle Leonard, Alpha Gregory and Dan Walker.

5pm: Choral Kaleidoscope Concert (featuring Gondwana Chorale, Gondwana Voices and combined choirs

In its 10th anniversary year, the Gondwana Voices choir was honoured with invitations to perform at three important international music festivals, culminating in a critically acclaimed performance with the BBC Symphony Orchestra at the BBC Proms in London. The 10th Anniversary Tour took in Canada with performances at the celebrated Festival 500 in Newfoundland. Gondwana Voices then travelled to France as guests of the acclaimed Polyfollia Festival in Normandy and then to the UK for performances in Farnham and London in the BBC Proms.
